Yard sales were pretty bleak this week , but I did find a brand new pair of boots for 75 cents! NEW! Why do so many women buy new shoes and then sell them in yard sales for nothing? Crazy for them, but good for us frugal fashionistas. These are a dark grey suede and go almost to the knee. I love them. These can be worn many different ways.

Fall In Love With Denim Jackets
You have got to have a denim jacket in your wardrobe. If not several. This vintage denim jacket I "splurged" on! Could not pass it up - it was $4.95! I love it. Getting a true vintage one is the best thing. It is already worn in the right places. Has that faded look to it that means it was loved before I even got it.
Yes, that is the black skinny jeans and the white skinny jeans. Just shows that having them is versatile. They go with ANYTHING!! You have to get some. It will add so much to your wardrobe. You can wear them in so many ways. Not a lot of money to add so much to what you have to wear.

Easy DIY Festival Style
Festival style is always in style, but if you online shop or hit up the mall for pieces, you are sure to break the bank. Below is a picture of me wearing a matching two piece set to a music Festival I went to back in March. What's really cool is that I did not buy this as is. The two pieces were originally one top (that I had purchased at Goodwill eons ago for a few bucks). I simply cut it into two pieces, creating the top and fitted skirt that you see below. Super easy! Only thing I used was scissors. NO SEWING REQUIRED!
Unique Thrift Shop Find
Today, I want to share possibly my favorite thift shop find yet. I found this sexy and unique number at Salvation Army a few weeks ago for ONLY $4!!! Maxi dresses are totally in style right now, and considering that this has sequin butterfly appliques, and a super high slit, this one is extra special. It can easily be dressed down with a pair of simple flip flops, or dressed up with heels for a date or a night out dancing with friends. Wherever I go, I guarantee I won't come across another person wearing this same dress. :)
Own At Least One Fun Dress!
A cute dress is a must. You should have at least one that is just a crazy fun dress to throw on when you are in a crazy mood. Stand out in the crowd. Throw a cardigan over it, if it is chilly. Great for going out! Everyone will be talking about how great you look! Having a fun dress just does something to a girl. Makes us feel better and have so much confidence. Not sure why, but when I have a cute dress on I can talk to anyone and I just smile more. Love them and you should have at least one crazy dress, but try to have a hundred!

Will This Be The Year Of The Boot?
I think that it will be the year of the boot and I got my first pair at a yard sale. These are new! The woman bought them and never did wear them, so I got them for a whole dollar!! $1.00!! For a new pair of boots that will go great with all of my skinny jeans!
Be on the look out at those thrift stores, yard sales, and flea markets for boots of all kinds. Boots go with everything. You can wear them with all of your outfits and they are stylish.

[Cheap] Jewels are a Girl's Best Friend!
Went to the flea market with my mom last Thursday and have been meaning to post some of our finds since then, but keep getting distracted! I really love looking at jewelry, especially at flea markets, because you can often find the neatest antique jewelry. These chokers are two such examples. The top one is a Claire's brand diamond choker. Not antique, sure, but got it for only $1! And it is so pretty! The bottom antique looking choker (brand uncertain) I got for $2! So just $3 total for two statement pieces! They will look great with a casual pair of jeans and a t-shirt, or more dressed up. So, definitely hit up flea markets and thrift shops near you.. you'll be surprised what you may come across. You might even find pretty jewelry for yourself, or for someone you care about. AND for super cheap! A win all around! :)
