When you go to thrift stores or yard sales look out for books (and other stuff), too! Some of the best books that I have come from them.

This is an awesome book that I found recently, Generation T. It is full of different ways to create new items of clothing or decor items out of t-shirts. I love this book. Everyone should have a copy of this.

There is even a wedding dress in this book. Very cute!

Layers, Layers, and More Layers

Layers are a quick way to add new looks to your wardrobe without buying anything new! Frugal way to create 100's of new looks with just what you already have!
It is amazing how many looks that you can add just by layering items that you already have in your closet! Use scarves, jewelry, jackets, vest, and whatever else you have to create new looks.

Host A Clothes Swap Party

Invite all of your friends over for a party and have them all bring clothing that they do not wear and have a fun night of clothes swapping. Have drinks and food. You could even play games and have Fashion shows. It would be a fun night and you would get some nice free clothing for free. Heck you could even make it a bring your own food type of thing also. Have a buffet set up. If you all have kids , make sure they include kids clothing.

Stripes, No Gripes

I love this new top that I found. It was $2.50 at a thrift store. Went yesterday to my favorite store out of town. I do not get there too often , but when I do get there I always find great stuff. Yesterday was not a good day for me to shop though , we had gotten a very late start out and then got there at 5pm! Had to be back home by 8pm and it is and hour and a half away. So I was literally running thru the store. I promised myself that I am going back very soon. Just to go there.
